Reversible NMO

ABSTRACT

The nonstationary equivalent of the Fourier shift results in a general one-dimensional integral transform that has a application to many seismic data processing steps. This general transform is, computationally, a simple matrix-vector multiplication, and it is a tool for implementation. Here, this general transform is used to implement a reversible normal moveout (NMO) correction.
