Ivan Sanchez

Ivan received his B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering in March 2014 from Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), Colombia, and obtained his M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from UIS in September 2018. He completed his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering at UIS in March 2024.

His research has covered the implementation of polarization filters, 2D/3D elastic wave modeling, and processing near-surface seismic scattering using multicomponent data. In 2022, Ivan was a visiting student at CREWES, where he worked on 3D seismic wave modeling accelerated by GPUs under Prof. Daniel Trad.

He joined CREWES in August 2024 as a Postdoctoral Researcher, with research interests in numerical modeling, high-performance computing, multicomponent signal processing, and complex land noise attenuation.
