Jinji Li

Ph.D. Student
Supervisor: Kris Innanen

Jinji received a M.Sc. in geophysics from Tongji University, and a B.Sc. in exploration geophysics from Ocean University of China. During his Bachelors, he worked as an intern at The First Institute of Oceanography of China. During his Masters, he attended two projects. The first was a study on the signals of high-speed railways, the second was an inversion for gas hydrate saturation. After his graduation from Tongji University, he worked in DTCC in Shenzhen, China for several months and helped to develop surface wave processing software. Jinji has built a solid foundation for his future research with his past experiences. In January 2021, Jinji joined CREWES as a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Dr. Kristopher Innanen. He is currently focusing on the study of combining seismic-while-drilling and full waveform inversion. His research interests include seismic inversion, forward modeling, passive seismic and optimization methods.
