Xiaohui Cai
Postdoctoral Researcher
Xiaohui Cai received a Ph.D. in Geophysics from China University of Petroleum (Beijing). In 2016, she began an academic career at Nanjing Tech University as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor, teaching courses such as Signal Processing, Geological Engineering, and Numerical Simulation, while conducting research in seismic imaging and inversion. In 2017, she joined the University of Texas at Austin as a Postdoctoral Fellow, working with Prof. Mrinal K. Sen. In 2021, she moved to the University of Calgary as a Postdoctoral Associate under the supervision of Prof. Kristopher Innanen, contributing to research in full-waveform inversion, reverse-time migration, and CO2 sequestration monitoring. Since January 2026, she has been a Research Associate at the University of Calgary, focusing on seismic imaging, time-lapse monitoring, and carbon capture and storage (CCS).
