Modelling, migration and inversion: 3D modules

In previous reports, we presented a suite of modules for modelling, migration, and inversion of acoustic and elastic seismic data, developed within the open-source Madagascar framework. These implementations were primarily restricted to two-dimensional(2D) models. In the present report, we extend this work to three-dimensional (3D) velocity models, examining the computational challenges associated with their implementation and describing strategies for efficient execution on graphical processing units (GPUs), which markedly reduce computational time.
